Use Clay to tap into the world’s largest database: Google.

This Claybook turns Google Search into a custom signal engine. You can query Google directly from Clay, pull in live search results, and extract high-fit signals specific to your ICP like “publishes a newsletter,” “hiring for RevOps,” or “featured in TechCrunch.” 

Clay then finds the people behind those pages, enriches them with contact data, and drafts personalized outreach for you.

Go beyond generic intent data and uncover niche, high-fit accounts on your own terms.

  • Enrich profiles with LinkedIn data and work emails
  • (Optional) Score leads using ChatGPT-powered prompts

Step 1:

Copy this template

First, copy this template in Clay.

Step 2:

Customize Google search query 

Next, customize the Google search query to find signals relevant to your business and industry. For example, we want to find creators who publish newsletters because Clay can enrich their databases so they can sell better ad spots. For us, newsletter = high fit. So we search Google for published Beehiv.com newsletters, then pull page one results into the table.

Step 3:

Customize Claygent prompts to find relevant signals

In this example, “high fit” means “has a newsletter.” But high fit signals mean nothing if we can’t also act on them. So we ask Claygent to find the authors of these newsletters and their LinkedIn profile URLs. Once we have LinkedIn profile URLs, we can use them to find work emails through Clay’s waterfall enrichment

Step 4:

Edit lead scoring (optional) 

Next, if you want, you can score your newly found, high-fit leads by customizing the ChatGPT lead scoring prompt. If not, you can delete these columns altogether.

Step 5:

Customize outbound message

Last, we ask Claygent to find podcast appearances from our newsletter creators, then use Twain (natively integrated with Clay) to draft two outbound messages. Customize both to fit your style and preferences.
