Clip to Clay extension

Learn how to clip your web pages into a Clay table.

The Clip to Clay Chrome extension allows you to clip your current web page and load it into a Clay table. Follow these instructions to set up and use the extension.

Install Clip to Clay extension

You can download the Clip to Clay Chrome extension through the Chrome web store.

Add Clay table to your extension

To clip pages to your Clay tables with the extension, you must first add your Clay tables to the extension. The extension cannot clip pages to a table unless the table has been added. Follow these steps to set it up:

  1. Log in to Clay and navigate to the table you want to add to the extension.
  2. Click on the table name, then within the dropdown, select Show in Chrome Extension.

Once added, your Clay tables will appear in the Clip to Clay Chrome extension, allowing you to clip pages directly to them.

Clip web page to a Clay table

To clip a web page to a Clay table using the Chrome extension:

  1. While on the web page you want to clip, click the Clay icon in your browser’s extensions menu to open the Clip to Clay Chrome extension
  2. In the top-right corner of the extension, select the workspace containing the table you want to use.
  3. Choose the specific workspace table to add your web page to.
    • If the table doesn’t appear, ensure it’s added to the Chrome extension (see the instructions above).
  4. Click Add to Table to clip the page.

View Clip to Clay history

The Clip to Clay Chrome extension lets you review your activity history. You can see when a page was clipped and which table it was added to. Use the Go to Table option to navigate directly to the table containing your clipped page.
