The Clip to Clay
Chrome extension lets you save web pages directly to your Clay tables.
It's an efficient tool for research and competitive analysis that eliminates manual data entry.
Setting up Clip to Clay
To get started with Clip to Clay, install the extension and select a destination table.
- Install the
Clip to Clay
Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. - Open a Clay table, click the table name to open the menu, and select
Show in Chrome Extension
.- Note: Only tables enabled this way will be available in the extension.
Using Clip to Clay
To save a web page to your Clay table:
- Visit the webpage you want to save and open
Clip to Clay
. - Select your destination table. If you don't see your table, check that:
- You're in the right workspace (switch using the top-right menu).
- The table has been added to the extension (follow the setup steps above).
- Click
Add to Table
to save the page.
View Clip to Clay history
You can review your clipped pages in the extension's history.
- Open
Clip to Clay
and clickHistory
. - View your saved links and their destination tables.
- Click
Go to Table
to open the table containing your saved page.
Configure Clip to Clay fields
You can customize which enriched data appears in your Clip to Clay history, giving you more detailed information about your clipped items.
- Open the Clay table linked to the extension, click the table name to open the menu, then click
Configure Chrome Extension fields
. - Select which fields you want to display in the history and click
Save
. - Your history will now show all your selected fields.
