Using Google Maps to Find Companies

Author
Matthew Quan

👉 Why Use this source?

  • Find SMBs/Local Businesses based on keywords and specific geographic areas
  • Pull results from Google Maps in bulk
  • Great for finding companies who often don’t have LinkedIn profiles

🤖 How this source works:

  • This is a direct integration with the Google Maps API
  • The actual search will work the same way you would perform a search on Google Maps
  • The primary difference is that all results from your query will be auto-imported into a Clay table, with information already mapped out to columns

🪜 How to set this up:

Step 1: Click “New Table”

Step 2: Select “Find Local Businesses using Google Maps”

Step 3: Add a Location, Adjust the radius, add a Search Query (This is what you’d typically type into Google Maps), then click continue!

Step 4: Access all the google maps results mapped out in your table 🙂
