Skills in Claygent Builder
Claygent Builder now includes Skills, a new section where you define reusable, expert-level instructions that Claygent pulls in automatically at the right moment during a run.
- Find Skills in the configuration pane on the right side of Claygent Builder, alongside prompt, model, and tools
- Click Create Skill and give it a name, a description that tells Claygent when to load the skill, and instructions that define how to execute it
- Toggle any skill on or off per Claygent, and reuse the same skill across multiple Claygents since skills live at the workspace level
- Claygent reads the name and description of every enabled skill, decides which are relevant, and loads the full instructions only when needed, so unrelated skills stay out of context
Instead of maintaining one bloated prompt for every scenario, you build a library of skills your whole team can reuse for consistent quality on every run.
SOQL Imports in Audiences
SOQL imports are now live in Audiences, so you can bring exactly the Salesforce data you need into Clay instead of importing an entire CRM.
- Use a SOQL query to define precisely which Salesforce records come into Audiences
- The Import from Salesforce flow has been redesigned, making it clearer to connect a source and choose what data to bring in
- Imported records are available across Audiences segmentation and workflows like any other source
This unblocks teams with privacy, compliance, or data-ownership requirements that make an all-or-nothing CRM import a non-starter.
AI-Generated SQL for Snowflake
Natural-language SQL generation for Snowflake is now generally available to all workspaces.
- Describe the data you want in plain language and Clay generates the Snowflake SQL query for you
- Available when you use Import from Snowflake or the Lookup row action from Snowflake
- Works against your own Snowflake data, so you don't need to hand-write queries to pull records into Clay
Teams can now pull the exact Snowflake data they need into Clay without waiting on someone who writes SQL.
Credit Spike Alerts
Clay now watches workspace credit spend continuously and proactively alerts admins when it detects an unusual burst of usage, instead of leaving you to discover runaway spend after the fact.
- Workspace spend is monitored automatically, and short bursts that are outsized relative to the workspace's plan get flagged as spikes
- Admins receive an Elevated Credit Usage Alert email that links straight to the Usage dashboard, with a 24-hour cooldown so alerts stay useful
- Spikes appear as markers on the credit balance and spend breakdown graphs, so admins can see exactly when a spike happened
- Click through from the alert email to drill into what drove a spike, or look back at past spikes when auditing spend
Together with the recent credit reporting and time-series usage graph improvements, this gives admins earlier warning and clearer answers on where credits went.
