FAQ

What is the Clay community scholarship?

It's a $1M fund from Clay that pays tuition for people training to become GTM Engineers. Scholarships are delivered through academy and cohort programs Clay partners with, rather than through Clay directly.

What is a GTM Engineer?

A GTM Engineer (GTME) builds and runs the systems a company uses to find, reach, and win customers. It sits between sales, marketing, and ops and is part strategy, part data, and part automation. It's one of the fastest-growing job titles in tech, and most people doing it today came from a different role.

Who can apply?

Anyone working toward a career in GTM Engineering. We're especially interested in career changers, early-career candidates, and people from backgrounds that are underrepresented in GTM. You don't need a technical degree or prior experience with Clay.

How much does a scholarship cover?

It varies by program. Some partner programs will offer full tuition, others partial. We'll share specifics as each program opens.

Which programs can I use it for?

Partner programs are being confirmed now and will be listed here as they're announced. If there's a program you're already looking at, tell us in the form.

Should I wait for a scholarship before applying to a program?

No. Registering here doesn't hold your place anywhere, and it isn't a substitute for applying to a program you're excited about. Scholarships are awarded alongside the programs themselves, so the strongest position to be in is already applied.

What happens after I submit the form?

We'll be in touch as partner programs and application windows open. In the meantime, Clay University and Clay Cohorts are free and open, so you can start learning anytime.
