Claygent then visits each company's website and classifies its digital maturity to flag accounts most likely to need marketing support. Once it identifies matching companies, it runs a work-email waterfall across providers like Prospeo, Hunter, and Dropcontact to surface a verified Head of Marketing contact for every row.

How accurate are the company and email results?

Clay's waterfall enrichment lifts email coverage from roughly 30% with a single provider to 80% or higher by querying up to 11 data sources in sequence. In Clay's own benchmarks, top providers like Datagma scored 97.7% confidence and Hunter scored 97.6% across more than 1,000 tested contacts. Is it legal to use B2B company data for marketing outreach?

CAN-SPAM permits B2B cold email in the U.S. as long as each message includes a valid physical address, a clear unsubscribe link, and honest subject lines. Under GDPR, most B2B outreach relies on the legitimate interest basis outlined in Article 6(1)(f), which requires a genuine business reason and an easy opt-out. In California, the CCPA B2B exemption expired in January 2023, so work emails of California residents are now treated as protected personal information.

Regulations vary by jurisdiction and are evolving quickly. Always check the rules that apply in your region before launching outreach.
