Each returned number then passes through Trestle and SureConnect for verification, confirming the number is active before it lands in your table alongside the contact's name.

How accurate are the phone numbers Clay returns?

A single provider typically covers about 30% of contacts. Clay's waterfall pushes coverage to 80% or higher by cascading across multiple sources. In Clay's published benchmark of 9,806 numbers, 23% scored as P1 ("Good"), meaning verified numbers where reps connect with the intended contact at least 25% of the time. Trestle and SureConnect filter out disconnected or inactive numbers before results reach your table.

Can I find phone numbers for an entire list at once?

Yes. Paste your contacts, upload a CSV, or pipe rows from a Clay table directly. Is it legal to use enriched phone numbers for outbound calls?

In the U.S., the TCPA governs cold calls to mobile numbers, and the FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule requires scrubbing against the National Do Not Call Registry at least every 31 days. Manual calls to B2B landlines face fewer restrictions, but autodialed or prerecorded calls to wireless numbers require prior express consent. In the EU, GDPR allows B2B outreach under legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)), though some member states require consent for calls to personal mobiles under ePrivacy rules.
