Is it legal to cold email B2B leads generated this way?

The CAN-SPAM Act governs all commercial email in the U.S., including B2B. It requires accurate sender info, a valid physical address, a working opt-out mechanism, and honoring unsubscribe requests within 10 business days. Violations can cost up to $53,088 per email. In the EU, GDPR Article 6(1)(f) permits B2B cold email under a legitimate interest basis, but you must document a Legitimate Interest Assessment and offer a clear way to object.
