If I upgrade to the next plan, do I get to keep existing credits in my account?

When you upgrade, your new credit allotment is added on top of your current balance and your cycle resets immediately, though rollover rules still apply (max 2x your monthly limit).

One exception: moving from an annual Legacy plan to a Modern plan works differently — instead of carrying over, you're credited for the value of your existing credits as a discount on the new plan. Reach out to support and we'll walk you through what that looks like for your account.
