Today the Clay team welcomed 2,000 attendees from 30 countries to our annual Sculpt conference in San Francisco. AI is unleashing the biggest wave of company creation in history, and Clay's goal is to be the engine those companies use to grow to their full potential.

We opened the day with where we see GTM heading and previewed the self-learning revenue engine we're building to get there. This recap covers what we launched, including a new agentic way to build in Clay, Clay Workflows, and the Inbound SDR Agent.

Where go-to-market is headed

At last year’s Sculpt, the biggest bottleneck that GTM teams based was execution capacity. Clay gave one person the data and infrastructure to launch campaigns that used to take entire teams, and GTM engineering grew into a career around that work.

A year later, executing campaigns is easier and faster than ever. Teams get their real competitive edge — or GTM alpha — from how well they can learn. The teams that grow fastest get better with every campaign. The results of each campaign influence changes that raise the quality and conversion of the next.

Learning at that pace takes a self-learning revenue engine. A single system needs to be able to act on the full picture of your existing customers and your addressable market. It then needs to be able to learn from the results of its actions to improve: how should you adjust plays? What plays should you try for the first time? How can you expand your ICP?

Clay already has the building blocks for a company’s revenue engine. Audiences brings your CRM records, sales call recordings, and product usage data from your warehouse into a single GTM data layer. From there, you can source your TAM and enrich it with data from 250+ providers or custom AI web research — all synced live to keep Audiences updated. Agents reason across that full context to prioritize who to prospect and find the next best play to convert them. Sequencer, Ads, and dozens of integrations let GTM engineers run any play they can imagine.

Today at Sculpt, we previewed the next chapter of our product: investing in making our customers’ revenue engines self-learning.

An agent-first way to build in Clay

Today, we introduced a new way to use Clay, led by an agent that plans, runs, and improves your plays. Give Clay an outcome-based task, like “Find me ICP contacts at high-intent health tech companies and build a campaign to prospect into them.” Clay reasons with the context about your GTM strategy in Knowledge Hub — the living record of your ICP, buyer personas, and positioning that guides all agent actions. It then works across the product to finish the job. In this example, it will source companies and contacts, save them to an audience segment, identify the right signals, and draft a sequence for you to review.

Clay also learns from the results and makes recommendations to Knowledge Hub. For example, if a campaign books six meetings and five are with telehealth companies, Clay may suggest adding telehealth as a priority segment in your ICP. Clay applies every suggestion you accept to future plays.

Clay can also schedule itself to check back and recommend what to change. GTM engineers now work with Clay the way software engineers work with coding agents: set the outcome, approve the plan, and let the agents build and iterate on how your company can grow as fast as possible.

This product is available to all Sculpt-attendees today, and will be rolling out to additional users enrolled in our early access program in the coming weeks.

Workflows run powerful plays at any scale

Launching this fall and already available in beta for all Clay users, Workflows is the canvas for building and running your most complex plays. Lay out any GTM play on one visual space, where every step can branch, loop, run code, or call an agent. Your most sophisticated plays come together in minutes and run across millions of records.

The fastest way to build a workflow is to ask for one. Describe a play in natural language to Clay or the coding agent of your choice via CLI. Trace any run visually to see exactly what happened to a record, then fix the play and re-run in bulk. Results write back to Audiences, so the context Clay's agents reason over gets richer with every run.

You can use Workflows to enrich and route inbound leads, keep your CRM up to date, and research and score target accounts. Account Agent steps research each account in depth, and you can call your existing Clay functions from any workflow, so logic you've already built carries over.

Get started using workflows today, in beta now for all Clay users.

An inbound SDR Agent to help scale demos

Finally, we previewed our first agentic seller, an Inbound SDR Agent. Clay already powers the inbound enrichment, routing, and replies for hundreds of companies. The Inbound SDR Agent will engage and convert every lead in your inbound funnel, including the ones your reps don't have time to work.

The agent qualifies leads in a voice conversation to build a full scoring picture, then demos your actual product in a sandbox with a use case that fits each lead. That lets it find diamond-in-the-rough prospects who would have otherwise been disqualified. We expect companies with a hybrid product-led and sales-led motion to see higher PLG inbound conversion after a tailored demo from the SDR agent.

What makes this AI SDR different is how the agent learns. Unlike other tools, the agent uses existing call recordings from your best sellers to learn how to use and demo your product. It learns from all of the context on your ICP and business in Clay. Its conversations inform recommendations for how to adjust your ICP, positioning, or competitive differentiation — learnings that Clay can deploy across all your campaigns instantly.
